How the gauge works
Score = the share of the altcoins in our feed whose 90-day change beat Bitcoin's. 75 or more: altcoin season (most alts are ahead); 25 or less: Bitcoin season. Example: if 30 of 40 alts beat Bitcoin, the score is 75.
Questions
Is this the same as other altcoin season indexes?
No. The ICC Altcoin Season Gauge is our own version with our own coin list (the crypto CFDs of our feed) and a 90-day window.
Why 90 days?
It is long enough to ignore one-week swings and short enough to show a change of season.
Does altcoin season mean alts will keep rising?
No. It describes the last 90 days; seasons turn, often fast.
